Constructional Technology

The crumbling façade of Building Va below reveals the vertical structure of its side walls, ie two facings of slabs laid as headers, with in between the occasional packing of small stones. Where corbelling starts, wall thickness increases from 0.95 metres up to 1.15 metres so as to provide the necessary counterweight.
